Perched along the slopes of Mukteshwar, the resort is conceived as an extension of the landscape rather than an intervention upon it. The masterplan follows the natural contours of the hillside, allowing cottages to settle gently into the terrain as a series of stepped clusters connected by stone pathways that trace the existing topography. Architecture and landscape are experienced as a single composition, where built form frames the surrounding mountains without competing for attention. A restrained material palette, carefully choreographed movement, and a sensitive response to the site's natural gradients allow the experience of the landscape to unfold gradually. The result is a retreat where the architecture derives its character not from prominence, but from its quiet dialogue with the mountain.
